This brass and percussion piece pays tribute to both stressful worry and unyielding strength. Storm clouds coat the sky, we’re forced to part with our delights, life sends hardship our way. Enemies will eventually reach the gates of our sheltered peace, and the only option is to fight back. The piece opens with the ringing out of bells, not unlike a church or city center, the percussion echoes the marching of those who fight, and all voices together paint the tale of those who find themselves under siege, and resolve to resist it.
